Thought is supreme. Preserve a right mental attitude-- the attitude of courage, frankness, and good cheer. To think rightly is to create. All things come through desire, and every sincere prayer is answered. We become like that on which our hearts are fixed. Carry your chin in and the crown of your head held high. We are gods in the chrysalis.

The first rule is to keep an untroubled spirit.  The second is to look things in the face and know them for what they are.

I asked for wisdom...
And God gave me problems to solve.
I asked for prosperity...
And God gave me brains and the strength to work.
I asked for courage...
And God gave me danger to overcome.
I asked for love...
And God gave me troubled people to help.
I asked for favors...
And God gave me opportunities.
I received nothing I wanted.
I received everything I needed.
My Prayer has been answered.

Fear and courage are brothers.

Victory is paid for in sweat, courage, and preparation.

Many would be cowards if they had courage enough.

The characteristic of a genuine heroism is its persistency. All men have wandering impulses, fits and starts of generosity. But when you have resolved to be great, abide by yourself, and do not weakly try to reconcile yourself with the world. The heroic cannot be common, nor the common heroic.

I asked for a few Americans. They brought with them the courage of a whole army.

Never give in--never, never, never, never, in nothing great or small, large or petty, never give in except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force; never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.

God, give us Men! A time like this demands
Strong minds, great hearts, true faith and ready hands;
