He [Heavenly Father] is our perfect Father. He loves us beyond our capacity to understand. He knows what is best for us. He sees the end from the beginning. He wants us to act to gain needed experience:“When He answers yes, it is to give us confidence.“When He answers no, it is to prevent error.“When He withholds an answer, it is to have us grow through faith in Him, obedience to His commandments, and a willingness to act on truth.

God is a philosophical black hole - the point where reason breaks down.

God is Omnipresent. By the power of his Spirit, God is everywhere present at one and the same time.  There is no place on earth or in heaven or through all the broad expanse of boundless space where his presence is not felt.  Though he is a personage of tabernacle,…though he is an individual set apart from all others, a person separated from all other persons, yet his senses are infinite and there is no limit to the power of his mind.  He can hear and see and know all things at one and the same time—all by the power of his Spirit…This Spirit that is everywhere present is also called the light of Christ.

He has all power, all might, and all dominion; He is the Almighty. He has all power to do all that he wills to do. He is the Creator of worlds without number. If it were possible to number the particles of millions of earths like ours the sum obtained would not be a beginning to the number of his creations; and the whole sidereal heavens, all of which are the works of his hands, move through the midst of immensity at his word.  Truly he is infinite and eternal without limits or bounds.  His power is immeasurable, his might is without end, and his ways cannot be fathomed.  There is no power yet to be gained that he does not now possess. If it were otherwise, our faith in him could not be other than limited and partial.

He is omniscient. He has all wisdom, all knowledge, and all understanding….There is no truth he does not know, no wisdom hidden from his view, no laws or powers or facts for him to discover in some distant eternity. His wisdom and knowledge are absolute and have neither bounds nor limitations. He knows all things now; he is not progressing in knowledge; he is not discovering new truths; there are no higher spheres than the one in which he now walks.  Were it otherwise he could not be the Creator of galaxies unnumbered; were it otherwise, he could not hold the universe in his hands and govern and control all things. Indeed, his glory and greatness and goodness exist and are because he knows all things and is the source of all truth. And if such were not the case, men could not exercise faith in him unto life and salvation, for they would know that he might someday discover some truth that would destroy immortality, or eternal life, or the whole scheme and system of things.

I want to tell you, each and every one of you, that you are well acquainted with God our Heavenly Father, or the great Elohim. You are all well acquainted with him, for there is not a soul of you but what has lived in his house and dwelt with him year after year; and yet you are seeking to become acquainted with him, when the fact is, you have merely forgotten what you did know.

Since “God is love,” the closer we approach Him, the more profoundly we experience love. But because a veil separates this mortality from our heavenly home, we must seek in the Spirit that which is imperceptible to mortal eyes.

Heaven may seem distant at times, but the scriptures offer hope: “Ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”

Some seem to value God’s love because of their hope that His love is so great and so unconditional that it will mercifully excuse them from obeying His laws. In contrast, those who understand God’s plan for His children know that God’s laws are invariable, which is another great evidence of His love for His children.....

God’s love is so perfect that He lovingly requires us to obey His commandments because He knows that only through obedience to His laws can we become perfect, as He is.

Prayer is a supernal gift of our Father in Heaven to every soul. Think of it: the absolute Supreme Being, the most all‑knowing, all‑seeing, all‑powerful personage, encourages you and me, as insignificant as we are, to converse with Him as our Father
