The acquisition of knowledge by revelation is an extra bonus to seekers in the sciences and the arts, but it is the fundamental method for those who seek to know God and the doctrines of his gospel. In this area of knowledge, scholarship and reason are insufficient.Author: Dallin H. Oaks, Source: http://library.lds.org/nxt/gateway.dll/Magazines/Ensign/1989.h...
I believe that many of the great discoveries and achievements in science and the arts have resulted from a God-given revelation. Seekers who have paid the price in perspiration have been magnified by inspiration.Author: Dallin H. Oaks, Source: http://library.lds.org/nxt/gateway.dll/Magazines/Ensign/1989.h...
The apparent conflict, and let me say it is only apparent, between religion and science, arises from two definite causes. An imperfect knowledge of science on the one hand and an imperfect knowledge of religion on the other. How I rejoice in the wonderful development of science and invention, and I hope I may ever have an open mind ready to receive all knowledge let it come from whence it will, for it has but one source; it comes from God who is the fountain of all truth.Author: Rulon S. Wells, Source: Conference Report, April 1929 p. 104

Our religion embraces all truth and every fact in existence, no matter whether in heaven, earth, or hell. A fact is a fact, all truth issues forth from the Fountain of truth, and the sciences are facts as far as men have proved them.Author: Brigham Young, Source: Journal of Discourses, 14:117
What can be more foolish than to think that all this rare fabric of heaven and earth could come by chance, when all the skill of science is not able to make an oyster.Author: Jeremy Taylor, Source: Unknown
